L.L.C, trading as Metahive Technologies (“Metahive”, “we”, “us”), collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit metahive.ae, contact us, follow or interact with our social media pages, or take part in experiences we create for our clients.

Data we collect
- Contact and enquiry data: your name, company, job title, email address, phone or WhatsApp number and the content of your message when you contact us through our website, email, phone, WhatsApp or social media.
- Business and project data: information you share with us to plan, quote for and deliver a project, such as event details, venues, dates and requirements.
- Website usage data: technical information such as IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and time spent, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Social media data: when you interact with our pages on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X or YouTube, we can see your public profile information and your comments, messages or reactions, as made available by those platforms.
- Event and installation data: some of our interactive experiences, such as AR photobooths, magic and smart mirrors, gesture recognition or interactive displays, may capture photos, videos or movement data of participants. This happens only as part of the experience, and is described at the installation by our client or by us.
- Job applications: CVs and related information you send us for career opportunities.
How we use your data
- To respond to enquiries and provide quotes, proposals and customer support.
- To plan, deliver and manage projects, events and installations for our clients.
- To run, secure and improve our website and services.
- To send you information about our services where you have asked for it or where the law allows. You can opt out at any time.
- To publish and manage content on our own social media pages and to understand how that content performs.
- To assess job applications.
- To meet our legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
Legal basis
We process personal data in line with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data and, where it applies to you, the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Depending on the situation we rely on: your consent; the need to take steps before or to perform a contract with you or your company; our legitimate interests in running and growing our business, balanced against your rights; and compliance with legal obligations.
Social media and LinkedIn
We use official tools and APIs provided by social media platforms, including LinkedIn’s APIs, to publish and schedule content on our own company pages and to view related engagement and statistics. We do not use these tools to collect, sell or share LinkedIn members’ personal data, and we do not access pages or accounts other than our own. Your use of each platform is also governed by that platform’s own privacy policy.
Event and installation data
Photos, videos or other data captured by our interactive experiences are used only for the purpose of the experience, for example to show or send you your photo, and as agreed with the client hosting the event. Where we act on behalf of a client, the client decides how that data is used and we process it on their instructions. We do not use participant images for our own marketing without permission.
Sharing your data
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting, email, cloud storage, automation and analytics providers, under appropriate confidentiality and data protection terms.
- Clients and partners, where needed to deliver a project you are involved in.
- Authorities or advisers, where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
International transfers
We work with clients in the GCC, Europe and the United States, and some of our service providers are located outside the UAE. Where personal data is transferred across borders, we take reasonable steps to make sure it stays protected, for example by using reputable providers and contractual safeguards.

Our website uses cookies to make it work properly, remember your preferences and understand how visitors use it. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the website works.
How long we keep data
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes above, for example for the duration of a business relationship and any period required by law, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
